Olive Oil Poached Tuna
Ingredients:
2 thick cut ahi tuna steaks
2 cloves garlic
6 sprigs thyme
Red pepper flakes to taste
2 cups Twisted Traditional EVOO
Salt to taste
Directions:
Combine spices in heavy skillet, add EVOO to 1in depth and heat until sizzling
Place tuna in hot oil and reduce heat to low
Cook until fish is white, spooning oil over the top consistently (5-7 min)
Transfer to a baking dish, pouring hot oil and herbs over the fish.
Cool at room temp
Wrap dish tightly in plastic wrap and refridgerate for 24 hours, remove from oil before serving.
