Olive Oil Poached Tuna

Ingredients:

  • 2 thick cut ahi tuna steaks

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 6 sprigs thyme

  • Red pepper flakes to taste

  • 2 cups Twisted Traditional EVOO

  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  • Combine spices in heavy skillet, add EVOO to 1in depth and heat until sizzling

  • Place tuna in hot oil and reduce heat to low

  • Cook until fish is white, spooning oil over the top consistently (5-7 min)

  • Transfer to a baking dish, pouring hot oil and herbs over the fish.

  • Cool at room temp

  • Wrap dish tightly in plastic wrap and refridgerate for 24 hours, remove from oil before serving.
